From the time it was built, 1864, it has been home to royalty, offering the best of its times.

The hotel is situated on the Golden Square of the Place du Casino and has views over Casino Square and Gardens, the Port and the Prince's Palace, the bay and the sea. It offers high modern standards of accommodation, direct access to an ultra-modern sea-water therapy center, the Thermes Marins. It is said that Frank Sinatra once ordered the lights of the casino opposite to be turned off because they were shining in his eyes.
